What is EduEquity Inc. and what does it do?

EduEquity Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Pittsburg, California. We work to expand access to quality education for children from diverse backgrounds by distributing learning materials, running community education programs, and advocating for equitable education policy at the local, state, and national level.

Yes. EduEquity Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Qualifying donations made to our organization are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will receive a receipt for every donation you make.

We currently operate in California, with programs and distribution partnerships across multiple communities. We are actively exploring opportunities to expand our reach to additional states and regions as resources allow.

You can make a financial donation through our secure online donation form on the Donate page. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers. You can also donate by check made payable to EduEquity Inc. and mailed to our office address.

Yes. When you complete your online donation, you can choose to make it a recurring monthly or quarterly gift. Recurring donations help us plan ahead and sustain our programs over time. You can cancel or modify your recurring donation at any time by contacting us.

Yes. When completing your online donation, you can indicate that it is being made in honor or memory of someone. We will send a personalized acknowledgment to the honoree on your behalf.

We welcome volunteers for distribution events, tutoring programs, administrative work, and community outreach activities. Fill out our volunteer inquiry form on the Contact page, telling us your availability, skills, and interests. We will follow up with available opportunities.

Yes. We partner with schools, companies, foundations, and community organizations in a variety of ways, from co-sponsoring distribution events to running joint programs. Contact us through the Support page or the Contact page to begin a conversation about partnership.

We encourage supporters to run their own fundraisers or drives and direct the proceeds to EduEquity Inc. We provide promotional materials and acknowledge community-driven campaigns on our website and social channels with your permission. Contact us to let us know you are planning one.

We work with partner schools and community organizations to identify where material need is greatest. Requests from partner sites, combined with publicly available data on school funding and demographics, guide our distribution decisions.

We track attendance, material distribution quantities, reading level changes in literacy programs, and partner feedback on student progress. We publish an annual impact report that summarizes outcomes across all program areas. Contact us to request the most recent report.
